Meet Lara Singer, Psy.D.

Dr. Lara Singer is a licensed psychologist in Connecticut and New York with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in both therapeutic and school-based settings. She specializes in pediatric neuropsychological assessment as well as the treatment of emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges across development.

Before transitioning to full-time private practice, Dr. Singer worked for five years in a public high school, where she supported students’ academic, social, and mental health needs. She also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at the Center for Attention and Learning at Lenox Hill Hospital, where she received advanced training in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation.

Dr. Singer earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) from Pace University in the combined School and Clinical Child Psychology program. Throughout her training, she worked in diverse clinical and medical settings, including Mount Sinai’s Adolescent Health Center, Kings County Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital.

She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Union College. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Dr. Singer spent three years working and volunteering in developing countries focusing on youth development initiatives. These experiences deepened her commitment to supporting children and families and ultimately inspired her career in psychology.
